The Lawrence C. Weaver Transformational Community Service Award has been established in memory of Dr. Larry Weaver’s significant contributions as an alumnus of Drake University. The award is intended to honor his legacy of promoting community service and can be awarded to students, student organizations, faculty and staff for one year or multi-year projects. Up to $5000 may be awarded on an annual basis. Awards will be based upon information provided in this application. Successful proposals will demonstrate the potential to: 1) create a significant impact on the surrounding Drake community; 2) create a sustainable change within the targeted community; and/or 3) measure the impact of community engagement by Drake CPHS students. |
